Sure, I don’t look very done up today, you should see one of my outfits when I head out in the evening, they are much more impressive. Two days ago, I wore a floor length jacket. You don’t see that everyday now, do you?

Oh my, you are funny. A bit of a joker. I am actually 96. Don’t smoke. I never have. That is the answer to my good health. I am an active person and I actually used to be in sports media and write magazines.

Patricia, I am loving your outfit. How did you go about putting it together?

Well, my late husband was in fashion in America and he taught me one lesson, which I always go by. He would say; "Whatever you do, just make sure you match." This jacket is suede. I have had it for years and it is one of my favourites.

You are making the block colour work girl! Simple and Striking. Where do you shop for your clothes?

I used to make clothes but now I just have some old items that I mix with new things from shops around here. I like David Jones.

Heeeehehehe. Why, thank you. I just bought them in a shop around here actually but they are very practical and everyone seems to like them.

Fashion and practicality; the new couture. What is your favourite song?

I like that one that is about a father and a son and the father sings about climbing a mountain. Oh, I do forget the name of it. What is it called again?? It is about the father never giving up and the son being allowed to follow his dreams. Yes I forget what it is called but: that one.

I love to go to The Club and be social and catch up with everybody. I am going there tomorrow actually. I have just done some shopping for groceries. I also like to watch televison, but who doesn't.

Where do you get your fashion inspiration from?

Oh dear, I just choose what I like. I have to go now because my bus is here but have a lovely day.

How do you lovely ladies fill your day?

Lily: Susannah plays bridge and I do the cooking and shopping. I am Hungarian and love to cook my traditional dishes.

What is your favourite dish to cook?

Paprika chicken and chicken goulash.

What do you think about fashion these days?

Susannah: People don't take the time.

Lily: Yes. maybe they don't look in the mirror.

What is your favourite fashion acessory that you could not live without?

Lily: My bi-focal glasses that are also sunglasses. We both have them, they are marvelous and they save my eyes.

What do you like to do of an evening?

I like to just relax and watch some television , if there is anything on. I watched a film about King George last night; it was fantastic. Anything about the royal family is fascinating.

Tell me about your accessory: the nurse's watch.

I was never a nurse but it is a piece I love to wear as it is a conversation starter and it is marvellous as I can read it upsidedown.
